I'm gonna make a change, For once I'm my life It's gonna feel real good, Gonna make a difference Gonna make it right As I, turn up the collar on My favorite winter coat This wind is blowing my mind I see the kids in the streets, With not enough to eat Who am I to be blind? Pretending not to see their needs A summer disregard, a broken bottle top And a one man soul They follow each other on the wind ya' know 'Cause they got nowhere to go That's why I want you to know I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer If you want to make the world a better place (If you want to make the world a better place) Take a look at yourself, and then make a change (Take a look at yourself, and then make a change) (Na na na, na na na, na na, na nah) I've been a victim of a selfish kind of love It's time that I realize That there are some with no home, not a nickel to loan Could it be really me, pretending that they're not alone? A willow deeply scarred, somebody's broken heart And a washed-out dream (Washed-out dream) They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see 'Cause they got no place to be That's why I'm starting with me (Starting with me!) I'm starting with the man in the mirror (Ooh!) I'm asking him to change his ways (Ooh!) And no message could have been any clearer If you want to make the world a better place (If you want to make the world a better place) Take a look at yourself, and then make a change (Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)

Valerie 03:57
Well sometimes I go out by myself And I look across the water And I think of all the things, what you're doing And in my head I paint a picture 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? Valerie Valerie Valerie Did you have to go to jail, Put your house up for sale, did you get a good lawyer? I hope you didn't catch a tan, I hope you'll find the right man who'll fix it for ya And are you shopping anywhere, Changed the color of your hair, are you busy? And did you have to pay that fine You were dodging all the time, are you still dizzy? 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? Valerie Valerie Valerie Well sometimes I go out by myself And I look across the water And I think of all the things, what you're doing And in my head I paint a picture 'Cause since I've come on home, Well my body's been a mess And I've missed your ginger hair And the way you like to dress Won't you come on over Stop making a fool out of me Why don't you come on over Valerie? Valerie Valerie Valerie Valerie Valerie Valerie Valerie Valerie Why don't come over Valerie?
